Events Calendar

There are lots of opportunities for you to find out more about how we can help with well being for life in so many different ways.  Why not come along to one of our introduction events to find out more?  Our friendly staff will be happy to have a chat over a cup of tea/coffee and tell you more about our free Wellbeing for Life service. Check out the events in your area, or further information call 0800 8766 887 or email us today.

New details are added regularly to these pages, so please visit often to make sure you don’t miss anything. Even if an event is listed as “closed” please get in touch to find out how you can register or get details of upcoming events in your area.  We are always keen to hear about new groups that people would like to have in their local area so please let us know if you have ideas about what activities could support health and wellbeing where you are.

Walking Football

Walking Football is a slower version of the game; it’s football at a walking pace. Adults all over the country have begun playing the game of Walking Football for the fun, laughter and camaraderie the social session brings, as much as the health benefits on offer.  It can give those who feel isolated an outlet, provide an activity for those who don’t deem themselves fit enough to run anymore and offer a stepping stone for those looking for a pathway back into fitness.

Cost – £3:00

Walking Football

Walking Football is a slower version of the game; it’s football at a walking pace. Adults all over the country have begun playing the game of Walking Football for the fun, laughter and camaraderie the social session brings, as much as the health benefits on offer.  It can give those who feel isolated an outlet, provide an activity for those who don’t deem themselves fit enough to run anymore and offer a stepping stone for those looking for a pathway back into fitness.

Cost – £3:00

Walking Netball

Walking Netball is a slower version of the game; it’s netball at a walking pace. Adults all over the country have begun playing the game of Walking Netball for the fun, laughter and camaraderie the social session brings, as much as the health benefits on offer. It can give those who feel isolated an outlet, provide an activity for those who don’t deem themselves fit enough to run anymore and offer a stepping stone for those looking for a pathway back into fitness.

Cost – £3:00

Diabetes and Fitness

This is an 8 week pilot exercise class for diabetic patients who must be referred in.

People with diabetes are encouraged to exercise regularly for better blood sugar control and to reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases.

Knowing that you have to exercise and how to actually do it are two different things.

The type, level and duration of physical activity that you undertake as a diabetic will depend on what is suitable for you, something you should agree with your doctor or healthcare team.
