It’s always a good time to talk!
On time to talk day (2nd February 2023) in Bishop Auckland town hall, Wellbeing for Life, Stamp It Out and Durham County Council brought together 75 people from 24 organisations, in order to start a conversation about social issues that affect mental health in and around Bishop Auckland.
The event was set up to get the many organisations in the area, who are passionate about helping people improve their mental health, to find ways to work more connectively and support the community. The event also featured workshops where organisations explored their existing connections and looked at ways to strengthen these to better support local people.
Marnie Ramsey, the Wellbeing for Life Programme Manager said “This is only the start of a full programme of activities planned to support the community. Thanks to everyone who attended for being part of the conversation.”
The Wellbeing for Life team is also planning a free roadshow at the 4 Clocks Centre on Tuesday the 28th of February incorporating external stakeholders that are working to better mental health in Bishop Auckland.
